My name is Jim Horn (AKA JDHorn, J-Ho).
I live in beautiful Surrey, B.C. – just outside of Vancouver, where I’ve been most of my life.
For work I build stuff for the web at a company named Asurion. I also teach web development part-time at Vancouver Community College.
As you can probably already tell from the site, web development isn’t something I only do for work, but it’s also something I like to do in my spare time – just to keep up to date with some of the latest/greatest techniques and technologies as well as as a chance to experiment before inflicting my talents on the bigger Asurion audience.
Besides web dev (I do have other interests!), I like to dabble in photography – increasingly with my iPhone, but also with my G16 and my dSLR. (They say the best camera is the one you have with you, right?) Another aspect of photography for me is the camera club I belong to – Langley Camera Club. I share webmaster duties there with my buddy, Bill, and also handle the scoring system at our monthly Image Evaluations. If you’re nearby on a Wednesday evening, swing by the club and see what we’re all about!
Other pastimes I enjoy include cycling, food and cooking, hiking and backpacking.
That’s about it.
I hope you enjoy my website and find a thing or two here useful.
