Final Project
Here's your chance to show off what you've learned in this course.
This project is manditory, and is sure to give you a feeling of accomplishment when you complete it. The best way to learn Web Design and Development is to practice it.
Your assignment...
- Topic of Your Choice - Choose a topic that you may or may not use in real life. Some suggestions: web design, consulting company, personal website, photography website, club website, etc.
- Original Content - Please include original content only (don't copy from other websites).
- NO WYSIWYG Editors - This project should be completed with Notepad (or equivalent) alone. Graphics can be from any source, but should be resized for proper web presentation.
- Design Constraints:
- 5 pages minimum (examples include: home page, about us, contact us, product pages, links)
- Consistent layout throughout (navigation, content, background colors/images)
- Layout in tables - recommended for site template as well as content
- Minimum 2 images per page
- Utilize formatting tags (<b>, <i>, <u>, etc.)
- Minimum of 1 ordered and 1 unordered list. Show off with nested lists, if you dare.
- Extenal links - link to at least 2 external websites
- Email link - provide a minimum of one email link
- Minimum of 1 form (will be discussed in Session 6)
- Properly formatted code (proper indentation and spacing)
- If you're feeling brave you can also include a framed version of your site, image maps, JavaScript, and other HTML features discussed in this course.
- Options for Submission - upload to web space provided by your ISP, free hosting, CD or floppy disk, usb thumb drive, or email zipped website to jim@jdhorn.com.
- Due by Tuesday, March 30th- If your site is hosted somewhere, please be sure to send me a link.
